Black hair

I was reading about how whites caused a controversy over Malia's choice in wearing her hair in twists.

Whites seem to fail to understand black hair. They expect blacks to shell out hundreds of dollars per month and lots of valuable time to make their hair look "white".

Then whites get mad when a black person dares have the audacity to say that white people's unacceptence of black hair is what causes these kind of problem.

Blacks are less likely to be hired for sporting a natural look. So essentially they are forced into a corner where they have to shell out money and time to please whites, or sacrifice well paying jobs because they want to be natural.

White women often try to compare their predicament about hair straigtening to women...at least YOU can wear your hair in curls and be unaffected by it.

I never understood the fact that if so many white women and other women had to go through such great lengths to get straight hair, why would they allow straight hair to be all that, why let it be so powerful?

In the end, as usual though, black women can never win...if you relax your hair, you not only damage it, but you waste time and money...if you don't wear your hair relaxed then you get stigmatized.
