Reactive vs. Proactive

I learned this in high school. Its true.

America is a reactive country, 9/11 proved this. Majority of American people are reactive.

What does it mean to be reactive?

It means that when facing a situation, the reactive person does not react the way they should until its too late and its already happened or begun.

Whats the opposite of a reactive person? That would be a proactive person.

Proactive people often try to alleviate an impending situation by taking the necessary steps and prepare for the situation to escalate.

What makes us so reactive? Other than living in denial, we just don't want to deal with the problem right then and there.

This makes the situation often more worse because it escalates over time.

If we were proactive, the problem wouldn't be so bad.
